Hey it’s Southside Steve with Axel and Southside afternoons on Rock 100.5 and we’re back with Dr Anderson it’s only been N9 days and I’m feeling great how you doing doing good man I didn’t have any issues with swelling and as far as the pain pills I didn’t take one of them didn’t need them true and I was back to work on air the next day okay well we just wanted to have you by to kind of show the folks what it kind of looks like after a little over a week and we as you may recall from we transplanted hair across the entire frontal hairline and you can actually see little Peach pies in there and you can feel it with your fingers I love that feeling by the way there’s nothing better than hair growing a whole ton of hair in there and you can see it’s slightly red but not that bad at all has the scar been bringing you much discomfort or no you notice it you know it’s there but it’s not discomfort even on the pillow or even touching it or even wearing a hat which I know a lot of people do it’s just a slight slight little pain if anything and it’s nothing okay so he had the linear type of procedure a lot of patients tell me it’s kind of like a bruise does it kind of feel like that it exactly like a bruise and it you only feel it really when you touch it and when you touch it it’s less than bruise okay very good what we’re going to do is I’m going to come around here and we’re going to show the the viewers what the the stitches look like cuz you know a lot of times stitches on the scalp look like yeah the size of football laces but here here’s the is how how I do it it’s the same closure I would use on a facelift and you can see not a really a big deal at all and it’s hidden by any kind of length of hair that’s going to cover the scalp you don’t need hair of this long to cover that at all just any typical I just didn’t want to take any chances oh it looks great any questions for me no I do notice that here at day nine I was able to take a shower and the first four or five days you’re using baby shampoo and you’re kind of patting it and using a cup of water not letting the spray from the shower hit it am I clear now to take a normal shower and lightly rub the hair yes yes you can go back the grafts are essentially locked in at day five and since we’re on day nine now you can go back to a more or less normal living as I so rubbing my scalp the way I would and not worrying about affecting the grass or losing the grass that’s right and you can rub on the stitches as well they’re not sprink loaded they’re not going to come apart okay the grafts are more or less locked in there you can’t really do anything negatively to affect them I am being Day N when do the the stitches come out cuz they don’t dissolve correct no they don’t dissolve and that’s to limit scarring the stitches that do dissolve is set an inflammatory response that can increase the amount of Scar we want to absolutely minimize that so it’s a a nylon Stitch that we’re going to take out for patients who are from out of town we have them go to their local doctor or or Urgent Care frankly they’re difficult to put in but easy to take out for a reason and so those just come out at day 14 I like to keep them in a little longer just to make sure everything heals up perfectly and then the last question would be because you fill the little hairs and you build them wherever you put them and it’s like the greatest filling in the world it’s like it it’s awesome grow hair growing for anybody that had any amount of hair loss to fill hair growing is the greatest gift yeah but I was going to ask how much hair do you think that I’ll keep and does it go into a dormant situation we want when the hair grow we’re going to you’re going to keep all of it all these follicles you know hair loss or rather hair restoration surgery is no no one’s crossing their fingers and hoping hair transplant surgery when done correctly our well selected patients works 100% of the time and so these hairs are going to about so how it works is about 20% of these hairs are just going to keep growing okay about 80% of the follicles are going to kind of go back into their dormant phase and the attachments from the follicle to the hair will be dissolved and the hair will be shed it’s not that they’re falling out or dying it’s just a natural process those follicles then go into a dormant phase for 3 to 8 months or so and then we will come out of their dormant phases one at a time and start producing a new hair and so but you’ll have the final results with Within to 12 months I can wait very good thank you great to see you keep up the good work call me anytime you got it some doctors are hard to get a hold of I’m not one of those doctors every patient including Southside Steve gets my telephone number email address and we’ve got as you had as every patient gets on the night of surgery they get a phone number that one of our own staff has at their house well you don’t get sent to a a call center or some random person if anything goes wrong wrong in the middle of the night and occasion nothing really ever goes wrong occasionally we’ll get a question like should I when should I take this medication and you’ll have a person who works here at the brackets who worked on you will answer that phone and who knows you and so that provides a lot of patience and peace of mind and I did get that phone call and I was checked on and I appreciate it good good yeah I check up on patients the day after as well every time just to make sure there’s no confusion or about the instructors or any undue discomfort you know that that really is not a thing because we you know hair transplant is all we do and I think we do a great job you look fantastic do a great job your job now is just you know prevent future loss and we talked about ways to do that and so yeah we’ll be seeing more of you call me anytime but thank you once again thank you doct you got appreciate it
