Hair Transplant Patient Journey: Tim Welbaum (overview)

I’m Tim welbom here at Anderson’s Center for hair with Dr Lee and this is my patient journey I was in the military was an officer lots of stress go to Afghanistan Kuwait all over the place living in the US and you’re in charge of a lot of people their lives the mission and the stress and I think that probably paid some you know helped out a lot with the with the hair loss but it it got it got pretty bad it started to get you know fade really bad and and and a lot of family you know they they love to poke fun so I probably in my 20s is when I really started to notice it so I’m now 42 and yeah I was you know I got to come in last year and go through the procedure it was absolutely amazing Dr Lee did a great job I couldn’t believe that he got rid rid of my my Widows Peak and just really excited what he was able to accomplish and I’ve actually got people talking to me about you know looking younger now and now it feels really good so first one went so well you know there’s I I had a really bad wh to speak as I’ve said and I think a lot of it had to be focused on the front end and now I also have the just the back of my crown area is is still an area that I I want to be be more confident in so I’m I’m here again to to go ahead and fill that in today I think like most people the one you’ve probably heard of initially is Bosley right and you know you go through that that that sales pitch and it just was unpleasant right and the way that they were cutting prices and then adding things in and it didn’t seem right I I luckily had a friend and he had come here before and when I told him what I was thinking about doing oh no and he told me he had been through it and I was was like I didn’t know you would been through this I mean it looked natural to me so he he said I out him he goes I’ve done some research and and my buddy he’s got some money so he’s done some research he’s willing to pay for something then I found out you guys were terrific priced I mean I I couldn’t believe how well you guys took care of me and the fact that the the price was I mean it’s smoke B Bosley I couldn’t believe that it didn’t feel like anybody here was working for you know on a commission or anything which I don’t believe anybody is so it just it felt so much more natural coming here so we made the trip down from Michigan to here and it was a great experience and my buddy who recommended Dr Anderson and Dr Lee I mean he was spot on the experience from start to finish was something that I would definitely highly recommend anybody else for sure yeah so listen to Dr Lee first thing I did so you know when when you do invest in your hair and you want of course to to make sure it lasts right so when he told me hey look red light therapy the hat that he recommended I do that every day I think it’s a 10-minute cycle I did go with the a300 which I believe is the top model that he had recommended and so I do that I also do the minoxidil and I do the finasteride finest whatever yeah finasteride so those those three things have been have been great and and then of course I just let it recover right he’s a good conditioner so confidence continue to build confidence I as a combat vet when I retired I had some extreme PTSD and I was looking for a wing right you just need something to to make you feel more confident because it got pretty bad and I just wanted to hide in the house and then of course when you are out if your family was spoke in funny you but now I don’t have to hide under a hat which is fantastic and you know posing for pictures taking my daughter to the daddy daughter dance you know when I get down on my knee and and take pictures at her level you know it was really bad back in the day with how much that Widows Peak looked and so this this is something that just gave me back that confidence increased my self-esteem and and and then hearing people now compliment what they think is me aging backwards right and looking younger but and that’s why I’ve become so open about talking about having a hair procedure because it’s changed my life and with the change of my life I’m like you know what I’m not embarrassed about it it’s a it’s a it’s incredible thing that they can offer it now so I figured I’d tell everybody on my Facebook page couple times I might mention it here and there every quarter just and I tell people reach out to me talk to me about it I’m fine I mean because there’s a lot of us in that situation where we wish we could do something but we bury it under a hat and it feels good to have the wind go between your hair right and actually have that much hair so I really really fortunate and happy that I was able to go through it absolutely yeah I mean so I didn’t even look into how it was done I mean this day in age with the internet and watching videos on it I was so ready to do it I never even pulled up a video on it I just my buddy said go do this you’re going to love it I went and did it and I mean from how gentle it was with Dr Lee going through the whole procedure you know they they get you lunch I mean hey you want Jimmy John’s fantastic you know I got I got a a delicious lunch and they were they took care of me they walked me through the entire thing beforehand it went just like they said and then luckily for me I have my beautiful wife who loves to take care of me afterwards because I’m a big baby and and and it really wasn’t even that bad you know as far as recovery goes let’s see here you know they Dr Lee gave me exactly what to expect and a nice little form that walked me through what to do each day for the first two weeks and how to care for it and luckily for me I could have followed it myself but I did have my wife who who helps me out so even for me who’s a big baby and can’t handle needles or anything this was this was a very simple procedure to go through because of how well I was prepared by Dr Lee and also you know the the directions and the followup too I mean I know I received quite a few calls and I mean I’ve never had a physician give me their phone number and he was texting me so I really felt like I wasn’t just a number this was not me just getting you know just cranking it out I mean this was he took care of me from start to finish and I I enjoyed the entire thing so much that I’m back again so I’m I’m looking forward to today
