Hi my name is Dr chel and this is my patient Journey when I was in medical school in my early 20s I started noticing a lot of hair loss I started really freaking out about you know what am I going to do with this when I started my residency training my hair losss had drastically worsened to a point where I could actually see a lot of patches where there was completely no hair and it was really very offboard and you know it really can sometimes reduce your confidence too the surgery day was very smooth I think everything was very well planned and I think I came in the morning at around 7 7:30 and they quickly go through some certain checklists and explain to you about what the procedure is going to be again like in terms of what they going to do or what are they going to give you in terms of medications and being a doctor I feel that it’s very important that you know I’m informed about the type of drugs that they want to give me before going and doing this procedure the staff was very great everything was explained very well and then it was a very smooth surgery without hardly any pain except the posttop vein which was something which we expect with every type of surgery so overall it was a very good experience so the first two weeks I was in residency training and I couldn’t get a day days off from work so usually people who are like you know having their option they can easily recover within like a couple of days but given that I was actually working in the ICU after my surgery within a couple of days I didn’t wanted to take a lot of pain medications actually I didn’t take a single medication so because of all these factors it was just a little bit of a uncomfortable Journey for me but I feel that it was still very bearable again that I didn’t take any pain medication so if you can take couple of days off work I think it’s doable so even before the surgery I had started applying topical Min oxidal 5% but it seems like I’d already missed the bus because I already had a lot of hair loss by then and that’s the reason why I under went the surgery but then after the surgery I started using topic linoxy finasteride and then on top of that I was also doing the laser hair cap I think that has really helped me being a doctor and given that actually I was asked this question just yesterday by my barber one advice that I would give everyone is don’t go to Turkey and the reason being that you know you want to actually get your hair transplant done by a certified physician in the United States who can also do the posttop care for you I have had multiple visits at the Anderson Hair Center even after my surgery for the posttop care and I think that it’s very important and this is not something that you would like to neglect because if you don’t take care of your grafts after surgery your chances of having infection and you know all of the type of complications that you can see from the surgery is actually very real and you just don’t want to unnecessarily have a failed transplant and cause you know unnecessary loss of your hard earned money all my friends and family members have already started noticing tremendous amount of difference from what that was before surgery and after surgery and I feel that it’s just going to get better over a period of time
